Dexabody Side Hustle: Team Edition
I am so excited to team up with coaches JoAnn and Zach. It's going to be so fun to be able to have a team to help push me and keep me on track. Before I go into my plan for myself and my team, I want to go over the why behind making this a team thing.
I personally have tried to stick to a meal plan, change up my eating, and make changes for my health numerous times over the years. One thing has become clear for me, it's much easier for me to do 2-a-days in the gym than it is to change my habits in the kitchen. My efforts usually start out great but about 2 weeks into any challenge, I tend to see myself slip and once I give in a little, it's a landslide! Then ultimately I go back to my old habits.

So... I thought about why it was so easy for me to make going to the gym a habit but making eating healthy a habit was so hard and I came to a pretty simple conclusion. It's you. My gym mates. If I have someone who is depending on me and expecting me to show up to the gym, I am more likely to go. If I have someone there who is cheering me on and looking out for my best interest, I'm more likely to stick to it. So I am applying this theory to my clean eating habits.

My plan during this next 3 months is to not only change my eating habits but also change other habits that will make me a healthier human being. I'd like to challenge all of you to do the same.

Categories of health
There needs to be a focus on more than just physical health to make real changes. For me, during this 3 months, I am going to make goals in the following areas:
- Healthy living
- Physical activity
- Social Media (Phone limits)
- Family Presence
- Spiritual/Mental well-being

Based off of these 5 categories, I am going to set daily, weekly and 3 month goals. I will also be taking before pictures that I may or may not share with the team... Still deciding that. And to help me stay on track and not burn out, I will be setting a 3 month goal and gradually build up to those 3 month goals with daily and weekly sub-goals. Once I have drafted my team, I will be making these goals public to my team so they can hold me accountable. I am going to ask my team to share with us what their goals are so we can help them achieve success during this challenge.

I believe physical and mental health go hand in hand. The more focused we are on one the better we will be on the other. I am putting my goals down to paper today and I encourage you to do the same. Even if you don't join our Dexabody Side Hustle, I urge you to make goals for yourself. But why not join us? The more people we have the more fun it will be and the bigger the prize pool for not only the individuals but also the team. So let's make progress together.
